We raise awareness to close the food waste and food donation knowledge gap. We incentivize and boost motivation to donate surplus food. We provide a streamlined program to match surplus food to unmet demand. And we get food to those in need via partnerships and hyper-local distribution.
Sur+ was founded in 2025. We're a fiscally sponsored nonprofit while our 501(c)(3) status is pending.

We benchmark our positions against nonprofit, public health, and field catalyst organizations using salary data from Payscale and the Candid Nonprofit Compensation Report.

Fully Paid Parental Leave
Sur+ offers 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave to enable employees to care for and bond with a newborn or a newly adopted or newly placed child. This includes employees taking advantage of any federal, state, or disability benefits.
Employees may choose to take additional leave unpaid as the primary or secondary caregiver. We also offer staggered return to work options for employees, to be customized on a case by case basis.

Sur+ offers a 401k plan with an employer contribution of 3%.
Through an FSA, employees can elect to set aside pre-tax funds for qualified health care, dependent care, and/or commute related costs. FSA is an entirely optional program.

Our goal is to provide greater flexibility while maintaining a productive and efficient work environment. We recognize that not all positions offer the same level of flexibility—warehouse and operations staff, for instance, may face more constraints during peak operational periods than office staff. Nevertheless, we are dedicated to accommodating flexible schedules to the best of our ability, ensuring that all team members have the support they need to thrive both personally and professionally.
