your SUPPORT powers our mission

Founded in 2025, Sur+ is currently in its pre-launch phase, seeking seed funding to position us for launch in late 2025.

Your support fuels more than a bold new effort — it powers the foundation for a food system that’s equitable, efficient, and scalable. As an early partner, you’re co-creating a movement that will grow to serve thousands.

Every dollar you contribute helps activate a broader network, unlocking surplus food from businesses, drawing in community allies, and attracting support. It sets powerful change in motion, multiplying value and accelerating progress.

Feel good knowing your support tackles two urgent issues — hunger and climate change — through one powerful partnership with Sur+.

4x impact

Every $1 invested returns $4 to society through environmental, health, and hunger relief benefits.

job creation

Unlike many food rescue efforts that rely on volunteers, we’re investing in local jobs and lasting food systems.

environmental gains

For every ton of food recovered, we stop 3.8 metric tons of CO₂e emissions and 1,800+ gallons of water waste.

systems efficiency

Food recovery is 10x more cost-effective than producing new food to meet the same need.

the dual food issue

millions go hungry While billions of pounds of food are wasted.

We throw away 120 billion meals a year — nearly 1/3 of all food produced. Meanwhile, 48 million Americans struggle to eat. That's the entire population of Spain. Right here at home in the DMV region, 4 billion meals are wasted as 2.4 million neighbors face hunger -- a line of people circling the Capital Beltway 6 times.

And yet, businesses donate just 2% of this edible surplus.
